Two teams open with wins

The JVA and Varsity teams started the season off with shutout wins vs Bellefontaine. The JVA team won 6-0 and the Varsity defeated the Cheiftains 4-0 only giving up one shot on goal. The JVB team lost 1-3 in their game vs the JV team for Centennial.

Futsal Success at ONU

22 boys from the high school team went up to Ohio Northern University. The JV group placed 3rd losing to the eventual champions of the JV bracket. The varsity boys lost their first two games then sorted it all out and won the next five games. They beat Heath 13-0, then beat Van Buran in the quarter finals. The boys upset Tipp City in a shootout after being beat by them earlier in the day. Then the varsity group knocked off undefeated Perrysburg 6-5 to claim the championship. Perrysburg was ranked #11 in the state at the end of the regular season last year. Congratulation to both teams.

Varsity to take on Jon Alder at Crew Stadium

The boys high school team is setting up a game at Columbus Crew Stadium on Oct. 7th to play against Jon Alder. This is a great opportunity for the team to go play on one of the best fields in America. More details to follow.

Coaches Attend National Convention

Coach Bowsher and Coach Kirsch went to the National Soccer Coaches Convention in Philadelphia recently. The coaches went to continue to improve themselves as coaches. The booster club provided some funds to help make this great experience a reality. The coaches were able to meet with and learn from some of the best coaches around the world including Bill Beswick, the former sports psychologist for the English National Team, Dick Bate, one of the leaders of the English FA, and many other college coaches.
